Web Site Pricing Guidelines
According
to the Netmarketing Web Price Index (www.netb2b.com), the
median price for a small business web site is $44,500 and the
lowest cost in a college town is $1700. They also quote the Minimum
monthly cost for hosting and maintenance (i.e. making changes) at $400 per
month. Obviously, costs this high are enough to deter many small business
owners from going on-line.
We Understand Small Business
If you contract with a larger web design firm like the ones surveyed for the web price index, they will assign a graphic designer, a copy editor, a web designer, and hopefully a search engine optimization consultant to your project. If you can afford that size of a project team, they will probably do a good job.
But, if you have a smaller budget, you need to make sure that the person you hire to design your site knows about all of important functions listed above - not just one or two of them. At Klages Web Design we make an on-going study of all of these important areas to give your web site the most bang for your buck.
The typical price for the sites we build is about $800 to $5000 depending on the complexity and number of pages you need. Most small business sites cost
around $1000 to $2000. This is less than many businesses pay
for a few months of Yellow Pages advertising, which can only change once a
year. Reduce the size of your Yellow Page Ad and
SAVE more than the cost of your web site every year!
